Join Peter DeSouza from the Japanese American Service Committee as he talks about The Community Care Program (CCP). Through the IDoA, it provides free or low-cost services to
eligible older adults to help them live safely and independently at home. Services include:
Homemaker Services: Help with meals, laundry, errands, and housekeeping
Adult Day Services: Supervised daytime care and social activities outside the home
Emergency Home Response Systems (EHRS)
To qualify, an individual must:
Be 60 years of age or older
Be a U.S. citizen or legal resident
Live in Illinois
Have non-exempt assets of $17,500 or less
(Does not include their primary home, car, or burial plans)
Have a demonstrated need for help with activities of daily living
(Determined by a required in-home assessment scheduled through IDoA)
