Join us for free screenings of films that demonstrate the power of art to humanize political struggle through storytelling. Come back the following Sunday for author talks that delve into the historic context in which the movie was made and expand our understanding of the story’s central conflict.


September's Big Idea: Countering Fascism

Author Talk: Steven J. Ross
Sunday Sept 7 at 2 pm,
3x Pulitzer-nominated author, Steven Ross will discuss his research on the history of counter-fascist spy networks in LA for his book Hitler in Los Angeles in conjunction with a screening of the classic satire The Great Dictator, by Charlie Chaplin--a named assassination target of the LA Nazis.
