Join us Sunday, June 29, from 1:00–5:30 PM at the Fleetwood-Jourdain Center for a vibrant celebration of culture, confidence, and community! This event highlights the power of self-love and haircare—especially for curly and textured hair—through meaningful conversations, engaging activities, and community connection.

1:00 - 2:30 PM | Volunteers Needed!
Help pack Avery’s Helpful Hair Kits - specialized haircare kits for foster children with textured hair. A hands-on way to give back!

1:00 - 2:30 PM | Vendor Fair Opens
Vendors can begin setup, and early attendees can explore local Black-owned businesses and community organizations.

2:30 PM | Formal Program Begins
We’ll kick off with a warm welcome and move into an inspiring program featuring:

• A vibrant fashion and hair show

• A dynamic panel of stylists, braiders, and advocates

• Remarks from councilmembers on the Crown Act Day Proclamation

• A short documentary premiere

• A powerful story from a community leader and a raffle giveaway

• Special appearance by a beloved children’s book author

• A fun crown-making activity for all ages

• More time to explore the Vendor Fair and connect with local businesses and makers
