Looking for nature books that feature a diverse range of characters and scientists? Looking to write a good news article or plan a story time or create community event about Earth Day? 

Come find out the 35 winners of the 2024 Blueberry Awards as well as the Best Nature Board Books of 2024, Blueberry Educator Resources for 2024 and Blueberry Recommends Adult Books of 2024!

Our Open House will feature our recommended books all around the library where you will meet Blueberry Committee staff  to share them as well as  District 65 Kindergarteners and 1st Graders who love the books! Bring a cell phone so you can listen to the authors and illustrators talking about the books, too! We will then gather for the announcement and also hear brief keynotes from the Chair of the Sibert Committee (ALA's Best Informational Books of 2024) and more local climate and nature celebrities!

We CAN give our kids the best nature and climate education with the wonderful NEW work being done in Children's book publishing!
